Girls Getaway Day 2

Day 2 started with the alarm clock set for 6. Our goal was to get moving before all the parade-goers. We started with hot chai's and cinnamon swirl bread.

We then headed to the Farmer's Market. I had heard that it was really big and really good. It was both! We had some really yummy mint limeaid. Megan bought a really nice silver flower ring (good buy Meg!) and we found some cute headbands for our girls.

We then headed to Rod Works, a mall in Draper and a couple other random stores. Next major stop was Trolley Square. The building were gorgeous but the renovations were fairly new so many stores were not open. We did stop in Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware.

We then headed to Park City. It is such a cute town with a lot of little shops. Meg and I were both a little sore from walking up and down the main street. It is quite the hill!

On our way out of Park City we stopped at Olympic Park.

I pushed Meg in the Bobsled.

We sat and watched the Freestyle ski jumpers for awhile. It was so cool. They go down the "slope" in full ski gear, do their huge aerial jump and land in a pool of water. You can actually train to do it yourself. Meg and I decided our next trip would be to bring the hubby's and girls up. So we can all "train" for the olympics.

This is the bobsled track that you can take the rides on.

After Park City we headed back to town. We stopped a few more shops and headed back to The Gateway. Our final stop was dinner at Olive Garden. I am happy to say we left the hotel at 7 in the morning and returned close to 10 at night. We shopped for most of the time- whoo hoo! It was really nice getting back to the hotel and soaking in the hot tub, watching fire works and giggling till we pee'd about this.....

This folks is my curling iron holder. Megan has never seen one and thought it was very odd. The next morning she still didn't get it until I packed up my curling iron still hot in my suitcase while she left her's hanging out her bag because it was too hot still. So, I have a stocking stuffer for Megan...
