Dinosaur Park

Our weather is finally getting warmer. The temperature got up to 68 today and it's supposed to be nice all week! Yeah- finally. We took the girls to the park this afternoon. I practiced my new photography skills.

Daddy's Fam-il-lee

Lily and Angie

George read Landree's new library book about cheerleading.

Al's uncle George and cousin Angie came for a visit last week. They are thinking about moving here from San Antonio. So in between them looking at houses they visited with us. It was really nice seeing them.

Presenting....

Me. Landree's class is studying the human body. Her teacher is so impressive! Tomorrow they are going to have 4 hearts from different animals to feel. Next week they will have a cow eye and brain. So Cool! Mrs. Heimark asked me last week to present something about the spine. So this morning I went to Landree's class with my model spine and x-rays. I got so flustered! It is so much easier speaking to adults. Anyway, at the end of the discussion Mrs. Heimark opened it up for questions. They were all pretty normal except...Landree's. "So um, when you die, they take your spine and eyes, and give it to other people." I got so nervous with her even starting with "when you die". Anyway, I explained organ donation and spines are not involved. But seriously- who comes up with that kind of statement at 5?

Lillian Tate

AKA Lily, Silly Lily, Lily Put

"Daddy says, poop, pee, and H**y S**t, are bad words."

Singing "rocking around the Christmas tree, have a Happy Holiday" in the shower this morning. That's my girl!

Snuggle bug...climbs in bed with Mom and Dad every night all night long. Driving Daddy CRAZY!

Loves playing on the computer, dress-up, puzzles, coloring, and anything Landree is doing.

Completely idolizes Landree.

Still loves milk, hotdogs, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and McDonalds. Would choose chocolate over all of the above. (definitely my girl)

My blond hair, blue eyed beauty. You are currently at a difficult stage for Mom and Dad. Whinning....we can't wait until you grow out of it! Thank goodness you were a great 2 year old and so far a good 3 year old. We love you bunches. Love cuddling and your smiling face.

Thank goodness you allowed me to experiment with all of my new photography skills this morning. I'm trying to capture you...

Soccer Mom

Lily calls our new ride a "taxi". I have no idea where she heard that from. When I drive by myself in the "taxi" I feel like a dork. It's much better driving with a carload of kids fulfilling my "soccer mom" image.

Valentine's Date(s)

So for Valentine's Day I ordered heart shape pizzas and we watched Madagascar 2. My lovely dates, Landree, Katie, Lily, & Lauryn, were on their best behavior. After dinner and movie we had chocolate cupcakes that Landree won at the cake walk. We had lots of fun!

Lauryn's First Valentine's Day

Thanks for the new baby Grandma! She has already had lots of hugs and slobbers.

Valentine's Day

This is the best picture I had of the girls and I. Of course I'm fussing with Landree's hair!

This weekend Al went fishing in Ely, Nevada with some friends. So that left the girls and I to celebrate together. Landree and I had a Girl Scout Valentine Tea Party this morning. The girls made cookies, had a cake walk, made a SWAP, and ate lunch with tea. It was fun but a hectic 2 hours.

Yesterday I also got my hair cut. Another change... I tried to put a good picture of it on here, but again I hate pictures of myself.

I'll post pictures of the rest of the day tomorrow!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's Official!

I've joined the soccer mom club! Yeah me! I actually NEVER thought I would have a minivan, but I really wanted the convenience. So far we LOVE it!

Randoms

So it seems I only post once a week with about 5 posts in one sitting. I need to bet better at this! Here's a couple pictures of the girls from the week.

Inventions

It's amazing the amount of new baby products that come out year after year. The Bumbo is something new that we had to try. The Bumbo is something she can sit up in supported. Lauryn does ok in it. She gets a little fussy and it doesn't look very comfortable. It's fun having her sit with us at the dinner table though.

Learning to write

Be Right Back We are going to Fresh and Easy

Landree comes to my office after school most days. My mom owns the shop next door and in our same shopping center there is a Fresh and Easy. Landree likes to walk down there to get food and drinks. This is her sign to put on the door.

Photography

My friend, Shauna, and I started a photography class last week. It runs for about a month. We meet on Monday nights. Our first class we were told to take a picture of things we love. These are the pictures I took. They really didn't teach us anything before these shots they just wanted to more critique lighting and things. Monday's class they taught us about shutter speed, aperature, and ISO. With the pictures we take next week we are to apply what we learn. So this weekend I will try to post "better" pictures while I adjust the speed, aperature, and ISO. I love photography and hope to really improve upon my shot.

Today...

Thanks Aunt Ronna!

Yummo Peas

Lauryn has had her first "real" food this week. PEAS!! She loved them. She was not too fond of rice cereal, but seems to really like peas. She is such a good eater.
