Merry Christmas!

We had a CRAZY, hectic day full of presents. Santa spoiled again this year. We kind of hope the girls will be a little bad next year so he doesn't bring so much. Now is the big discussion on where we are going to put all of their goodies. My mom and Dad were able to spend the night on Christmas Eve we all unwrapped new PJ's and we all went to bed. We woke up to loads of gifts for the girls. They had a good day, mostly going from 1 present to the next, which involved a lot of cutting and untying. Why do they wrap toys with 40 twist ties? We enjoyed a traditional ham dinner, my fav. Here are highlights from the day... the lowlights will follow in another post.

Another garage sale find

I fell in love with this painting and the frame lines were nice as well. The orange had to go as well as the cobwebs covering the back. Yuck.

After a few coats of paint and some distressing the frame turned out great and the picture looks great in it.

I have envisioned this is what Al and I are going to look like when we are old and gray. How sweet is this little couple strolling down the path?

Cedar Truck Beautified

Al and I found this Lane Cedar chest at a garage sale for $10.00. It took A LOT of sanding and stain but I think it has been beau-T-fied. I am not too sure about the fabric on top or the knobs but they work for now. It is perfect under our bedroom window for extra storage of blankets and pillows.

Happy Birthday Ginny!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday! Happy Birthday Ginny! The girls can't wait to see you.

Santa's New Ride

In our neighborhood Santa rides a 4-wheeler. The girls were able to go with him to deliver candy canes to all the neighborhood children.

School/Daycare Holiday Parties

Landree's class had a holiday party on Friday. I was happy that I was able to go to it. It was great hearing "Mommy" as soon as I walked in the class. Yeah- her regular teacher will be back after break!

On Friday evening Lily and Lauryn had their holiday party at Michelle's. Michelle has provided daycare for us for over 3 years now. She spoils the kids rotten. Lily started off by singing Jingle Bells for the crowd. I made all of the girls outfits. They all wore Suger Plum Fairy shirts and tutu's. They turned out pretty cute and they were excited to wear them.

I can't wait to see Lauryn's face on Friday after Santa has been here. She was SO excited to unwrap and see the baby and stroller. Her face was so cute. She was screaming for me to open it. Michelle also got her a tricycle.

Lily got a new Barbie bike. She loves it! It has a smaller bike that sits on the handle bars for Barbie to ride.

Of course, Landree could not be left out of the fun. She got a new Sharpay doll.

O' Christmas Tree

We decorated the day after Thanksgiving and I have been a MAJOR blog slacker. The decor looks great and I hope to have some better pictures of it before Christmas. So, T-minus 50 hours...

All of the decorating can wear you out...

Sweater for a Snuggie

The hubster had a holiday party at work last week. There was a contest for the most ugly sweater. Doesn't he look so cute in the lovely sweater? Look what he won for me! A snuggie--whoo, hoo!

Some goodies

I normally use my Nikon but I took my point and shoot out last night. Upon downloading pictures I found these on the camera. They were from our trip to Kansas. I really like the ones of the girls.

I jumped on the bandwagon

and saw New Moon on opening night! Crazy! Some friends met at Town Square to eat, shop and watch the movie. We had dinner and drinks at Tommy Bahamas. It was tasty...

Picture before the movie. I made shirts for all of us. Simple white shirts with iron on patches from here. A "token gay guy" (that's what he called himself) took this picture so excuse the poor quality. He sat near us at the restaurant and really was nice. We all left at the same time and he captured us at our best-not! The best part was he said Shauna's hair was "f..king fantastic".

So, my thoughts on the movie. It was good and it followed the book well. That is all I'm going to divulge! There was a shot of Edward without his shirt on. You should have heard all the girls scream.

The best part about...foreclosures

is the crap they leave behind. Well another man's trash is another woman's treasure! Thank goodness I am married to the master of dumpster diving! We found this treasure and hauled the heavy thing home.

We had to add BJ's perfect lemons from his tree.

And a bunch of gourds and corn from Walmart at a penny a piece. Yep, that's right a whole .05 cents for my Thanksgiving decor.

After a good scrubbing and a little paint this is the finished product. I only need about 20 more bottles of wine to fill her up!

More from photo shoot

Here you go Meg! I have a bunch more but I think these are all the best.
