Family Fun

Poppy makes a good horse!

Bellagio

Every couple of months we like to go to the Bellagio to check out the conservatory. It was really pretty for the Christmas theme this year, but it was very busy!

Sisters

Christmas Surprise!

My sister and her daughter Samantha surprised my Mom and Dad for Christmas. They thought she was flying in on the 26th instead she flew in Christmas Day. We had it planned out that Al would pick her up at the airport when she got in. Our neighbor pretended he needed help with something and off Al went to the airport. I seriously delayed dinner a few hours. It was extremely difficult! Mom and Dad were getting so restless and they were ready to get home. It was great having Lisa and Sam here for Christmas dinner. Sam spent the night for the first time with the girls as well. They all play so well together.

Other Christmas Photos

Lauryn's first Christmas! Well she ended up sleeping through most of the day.
The girls received uggs and vests from Aunt Megan and her family. They looked so cute!

Landree's Gifts

Landree had a Holiday Shop at her school a couple weeks ago. It was set up for the kids to go and pick out inexpensive things for their family and friends. She also make me a pottery heart holder in art class and Mrs. Heimark, her teacher, made everyone calendars with pictures from the class. These are pictures of her gifts and their receivers.

Unwrapping

Landree also received an Easy Bake Oven with mixes and an apron, new games, clothes, and many other fun toys. Lily received a Leapster hand-held game, Dora furniture for her house, a swimming baby, clothes and more fun toys. I received a sewing machine (which I can't wait to try!), books, clothes, MP3 player and other "spoilings". Al received DVD's, hunting, fishing and camping gear, cover for the jeep spare tire, MP3 player and other fun stuff. All in all we had a great day! The girls are counting down the days until next Christmas. Lily said tonight they have to wait until after Grandma Ginny's birthday. I don't think she realizes how long she has to wait.

Santa's Crazy!

Of course we had another year of spoiling from Santa! Landree came running into our bedroom screaming to Daddy that Santa came to the house and left a lot of presents and her princess vanity (what she asked Santa for). She was so excited as was Lily after Landree woke her up. We made them wait until they were all dressed and Pa Pa and Grandma Wark arrived to open gifts. All in all we had a good morning of unwrapping and playing.

Grandma Ginny's Birthday

Ginny's (Al's Mom) birthday is on December 23rd. We took her out to dinner to Outback. Al told Landree to tell the waiter a secret that it was her Grandma's birthday. So they came out with desert and sang a quick birthday song. The girls and Grandma all enjoyed the ice cream.

Holidays at the Springs Preserve

Al's Mom arrived her on December 21st for the week. We went to the Springs Preserve the first night she was here. It was fun. We have never been there and are now looking forward to our next visit in the daytime. It was huge with many activities. We mostly just walked around and looked at the lights. The girls were able to meet Deputy Drip(?), a reindeer, and frosty. They also had some balloon things made. Al and the girls had fun runny around. There was a big amphitheater with steps. The girls and Al were running and jumping off them. They were all laughing so hard, mostly at Al. The night was chilly but it was fun. It's amazing how you can make cactus and palm trees so festive with all of the lights.

Dora the Teacher

Lily was playing with her new house and this is what I discovered. Dora was the teacher and the kids are all around her. I thought it was cute.

Lily's School Party

This is one of Lily's new babies. She is amazing! Lily had to name her. She plays peek-a-boo, asks of her bottle and puts it to her mouth, pulls the blanket up, asks for her bear, and tells you she's ready to go night-night.

The girls with their other babies.

Lily also received a Dora Talking House.

I love this picture of Lily she looks so excited.

Lily's daycare provider, Michelle, had a holiday party for the kids on Friday, December 19th. She always gives the kids awesome gifts. She is a very generous lady. Here are a few pictures from her party.

Vegas Snow

So I have to play major catch-up for about 2 weeks. Some of it is old news...
While most of the valley was dumped on with snow we didn't get any at home. We saw some come down but nothing ever stuck. We actually saw a few flurries on Christmas night. Here are some pictures on our way to work on Thursday, Dec. 18. Landree had a snow day that day. I had patients Wednesday evening when most of the "dumping" occured. One lady said it took her 3 hours to get home from my office which is only about 8 miles.

Crazy Wednesday

Today at work it started snowing at 1. It hasn't stopped! We got dumped on. We are expected to get between 3-10 inches in the valley until 6 tomorrow morning. The airport is shut down as well as most roads entering the valley. I just saw across the TV that there is NO school tomorrow due to the snow. Landree will have her 1st snow day and probably her last! I forgot to take my camera to work today so no snow pictures. I will try to get some tomorrow. It is really pretty, but a huge mess. Remember we are in the desert therefore no snow plows, no salt/sand trucks, and no de-icers for our airplanes! Just a inch gets us gridlocked!

Tonight Ms. Lauryn giggled for the first time. It was so cute! I got her on video.

Also, we had family pictures taken. They were free, not great quality but they are ok. I have been trying to experiment with Photoshop. I will try to post more pictures from the session and as I try to enhance them.

More tomorrow!

Addison

Our friends Will and Kim had their 3rd girl November 19th. The girls had fun holding the new baby Saturday night at Geoff and Tracy's house. We had a lot of fun catching up with friends and holding new additions.
