4 Years
It's hard to believe our little Lauryn is 4! She was so excited for her birthday. All summer long, "when's my birthday?", "once school starts it's my birthday and I'm going to be 4". I woke her up on her birthday and said "Happy Birthday". Lauryn said, "I'm 4 now! I'm a big girl!"
Our friend, Becki, gave her M & M cake pops to share with her class. M & M's are her absolute favorite candy.
Aunt Megan gave her this cute outfit and umbrella.
She calls these "mushmash" instead of mustache.
The only thing she wanted for her birthday was a Mermaid Dora doll. Once Dora went swimming in the pool and bathtub, Lauryn dried her off and slept with her.

UNLV vs. AFA
Last weekend Al and I went to the UNLV/AFA football game and they WON! Which is a plane miracle for UNLV. Maybe we were the good luck charms :) Landree and Lily went to Katie's birthday party and Lauryn spent the night with Grandma. It was a great night out with friends! We decided we needed to get out more to support the local team.

First Day of School 2012
The girls are back to school! Yea! They were excited to go back to see their friends. We were excited as well to get back into the routine. I forgot how much I hated the mornings before school. It becomes a little chaotic getting them all ready and out the door in time.
LAURYN...started pre-school at Nate Mack. Her teacher is Ms. Deb Horne. Lauryn is in a unique classroom setting. She is a "typical" peer with "atypical" peers. Meaning she was chosen to be a role model in a small classroom with children with autism. She is doing very well and loves to go to school.
LILY...started 2nd grade! She started with Mrs. Musa but last week, due to budget cuts, she was transferred to Ms. Podhaisky's class. Ms. P. was our first choice on 2nd grade teachers so we were excited! I felt bad her first week with the sores on her lips. We went to the lake and Lily burnt her poor lips. She is doing very well in school. She is great in math and improving greatly in reading.
LANDREE...started 4th grade! Her teacher is Ms. Rosgay-Miller. So far 4th grade has been a little challenging for both of us! It's the first grade level that hasn't "held her hand". We've noticed how much more independent the students are and become. Her teacher loves Harry Potter so we have been trying to read a bit more Harry Potter and hopefully we'll see all the movies soon.
Lauryn ready to go. "Bye Mom and Dad" no tears in sight for either of us!
