We had visitors!
My cousin, Brittainy, and her boyfriend, Jesse, were in town for the weekend. We met them briefly in the "city". It was good to catch-up and we finally got to meet Jesse. Thank you for taking time out of your vacation to see us!

We met BJ and Liana when we first moved to our house 7 years ago. They have been like family to us since we met. The girls have even called BJ PaPa. It is such a blessing to have them in our lives. Some of BJ's family from Arkansas came out for his party, many of them we have already met. They all commented on how much Al and BJ even resemble one another in looks and attitude. BJ is like the brother Al never had.

The Birthday Boy...
BJ's wife, Liana, had a surprise birthday party for him on Saturday night. Thank goodness they are neighbors so we didn't have far to stumble. (JK) It was a great night. It was after the baby shower and all of our mutual friends just went straight to their house to party! Fun times with friends and kids running around!

It's a Twin Thing
Our friends, Nichole and Storm, are pregnant with identical twin girls! I hosted a "Twin Thing" baby shower for her on Saturday. I love the turquoise and red together. It turned out great and Nichole received great gifts for the babies. We can't wait until the girls are here!
7 Months
Lauryn sleeps still from 7:30 to 6:30! Yeah!
She is sitting up by herself but still has an occasional tip-over. She is also starting to crawl. She has the motion down but not moving fast. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that stage yet! I was doing laundry today and she was in her room on the floor. I peeked in to check on her and she was going for her outlets, time to pull out the covers, again...
I guess 1 out of 3 isn't bad. She is the only one to suck on her toes. I have to admit I encouraged her a bit because I think it's cute. She does go after them on her own though.
So stinkin' cute! We started bathing without the baby tub since she is sitting. She LOVES the water. We also have a little floaty for the hot tub that she just kicks and splashes around in. She is going to love the pool.

Wetlands
On Saturday morning Lily, Lauryn and I walked the Wetlands with Landree's Girl Scout Troop. Landree was getting ready for her tournament so was unable to go. The Wetlands is an area east of town where all the water from the city goes before it is drained into Lake Mead. So all of the water has developed a little oasis in the desert! It was really neat. There is paved trails and also trails within the trees to walk. The Girl Scouts had stations all over the park to stop at to see wildlife, different plants and birds circling the 500 foot bridge. If you live in Las Vegas it is worth checking out. Go early in the morning and just walk! We plan to go back soon!

Dodgers are #1!!
Landree had her first softball tournament last Saturday! What an awesome day, but LONG! She started at the field at 9:30 with first game at 10:00. The next 3 games were pretty much back to back from 2:00 until 7:00. The Dodgers WON the tournament! Landree did great. She complained during the first game about being bored in the field. She played mostly left field. I am so proud of her for even making it through the day. We definitely need to work on some things with her but I really think she wants to be there so half the battle is won. Way to go girl!!

As I was going through these photos I noticed how tired she looks. I didn't see it as much when we were out there. In the metal pictures her eyes are swollen with dark circles, her hair is a mess. You can really tell how hard it was for her. She did it!
Pure exhaustion...The team all went to Chuck-e-Cheeses afterward. Landree and I went and she played there until 9:30...longer day!

The very last...
of all the stinkin' Easter pics...I promise! I took over 300 pictures on Sunday, yes very insane. We also had a busy day!

The girls were wrestling the big blow-up Easter bunny. It was quite comical.
The girls in their new swimsuit cover-ups. They also have new swimsuits on underneath. I love the pose Landree is making and her facial expression. She is into "model" posing now when I take her pictures.

Remember Spiderman?
Michelle had Peter Cottontail and Skippy the Clown also at her party. I thought I would post the picture of "Skippy" aka Spiderman!! We never saw him without his mask at the Spiderman party but obviously his costume was see-through :) and Al saw his pony tail. They were from the same party place. They are one and the same. I prefer Skippy....not quite as weird.
Egg Hunt
Lily and Lauryn's daycare provider, Michelle, has huge Easter egg hunt every year. The girls always have a great time and get their fill of eggs. There is also a competition. If you get a gold egg you win a prize. Lily found a gold egg and won a Barbie. She was so excited!
