A Team IN Training?

So I have started the 30 Day Shred, yesterday. 1 day down, 29 to go! I am actually pretty sore and hungry. Anyhoo, I am going to train for the 1/2 marathon! I think Al is going to as well. The course starts at Mandalay Bay and goes to Stratosphere and then back to Mandalay Bay. It's going to be so much fun!

The race is December 6th at 6:15 a.m. There is entertainment along the way with a finishing party at Mandalay Bay with Music, food, and BEER!
Check here for all the details: http://las-vegas.competitor.com/
I don't think I am going to join the Team in Training but will be doing my own. If anyone is interested in getting together to run or wants to casually join the "team" let me know!
This will be us at the finish line. Only panting and dry heaving... Oh, the fun we will have!

10 months

I can't believe Lauryn is 10 months already. I'm already starting to plan her first birthday! Crazy. Lauryn is doing really well. She has 3 teeth coming in and I think the other top one is on it's way. She is very close to walking. She is starting to let go and go for other objects that are close by. She has great balance so I bet within a month she will be walking fully. Lauryn loves to eat. her favorite foods currently are bananas, watermelon, ravioli, and baby Cheetos. She loves to play with toys and has started opening cabinets to pull out dishes, etc... Lauryn still sleeps really well. We are truly blessed to have such a healthy, happy baby and another little girl to love.

Call me insane.

I was playing around on blogs. Which means I went to one blog, to another, to another... I found information on Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Well needless to say I went straight to Amazon and ordered it. It was only $9.00 including shipping so I figured worth a try. With 3 kids, ahhhhh, my body (mostly belly) has gone to kaput. I think it has something to also do with being a few years over 30. It is much harder to lose weight and honestly I have way less will power (or laziness?) So as soon as I get this, it's ON!

Here's to another goal- and the complete insane part! Click here. So what do you think? Who's in? Since I moved here I have wanted to do the 1/2 marathon. So is this the year? I figure if I kick my butt into gear with the 30 day shred I can start training for the 1/2 marathon in September. 3 full months of training for a 1/2- Do you think it will be enough time?

Am I totally crazy or what? If anyone is interested in craziness (Kim, Shauna you guys are marathon runners!) maybe I can put a Galvin Chiropractic team together! How much fun would that be!

Tuesday Funny

This is one of the funniest stories I have of the girls. It still makes me laugh when I think about it!

Landree was about 18 months old and I was a few months pregnant with Lily. I had decided to take Landree to the doctor with me. Being pregnant the first thing you do when you arrive at the doctor office is do a UA. So we both proceeded to the restroom so I could leave my sample for the nurses. I had just finished and I hear this, "Mommy, I blow bubbles". So my sweet little daughter thought I had just produced some bubbles in the cup with blue lid.

Uninspired??

I don't know if uninspired is the right word. Because I have 3 inspirations all in bed right now. I don't know if I'm getting tired of the same ol' posts, pictures of what's going on- the life of a mommy blogger. My main purpose in writing this blog is so I can have a better account of our life! My girls grow fast! I didn't keep a baby book for Lauryn because this is it. So in the last year (it has been 1 year!) I have around 250 posts all about our life. But do I want to continue to be just a mommy blogger? I have no clue how many people read my blog. Al has spread the word to people I haven't even met. I really don't care who reads. I think what I am missing here is COMMENTS! I have been trying to be more comment savvy because I am now realizing how FUN they are.

SO PLEASE, PLEASE LEAVE ME COMMENTS! I will try my best to write more. I want comments from anyone...people you don't have to have a blog to leave a comment. You push the "leave comment" button and have at it. Al, Mom, Lisa, Megan, Ginny, random cousins, family, friends, and other random people (including people I do not know, chances are if you are looking at my blog I have looked at yours :)--I want to hear from YOU!

Because I can't write a post without a picture.

Bowling

This is Landree's last week of Track Break. So Al took Tuesday off work and we all went bowling! The girls love bowling!

As you can see Al and I tried to let the girls win. (Not really we are just really bad!) Lily was actually winning most of the frames and in the last couple Landree and Al pulled out ahead. I was just plain awful through the whole game!

It's a Twin Thing Take 2

Remember this baby shower I hosted in April? It's a Twin Thing...Well the babies were born on July 1, 2009! Big CONGRATULATIONS to Storm and Nichole. The babies were born a little less than 7 weeks early, but they are doing wonderful. They spent 5 days in NICU and are now in the Special Care Unit. They just need to start packing on the pounds!

The proud parents!

Sydney Blue

Kendall Peekaboo (yep, that's her middle name! Her Daddy's a little crazy, but the name makes me smile every time I say it)

They are the smallest babies I have ever seen, but they are stinkin cute. I will post pictures of them later!

More July 4th Daytime

July 4, 2009

Baby Girls first 4th. She loved the fireworks. She put her head back and just gazed.

The girls had fun with Sparklers, of course.

This is the neighborhood crew (well 1/2, the other 1/2 was out of town)

Our neighbor, Nick, goes crazy every year. These are the legal ones, NOT!

A look back...

I was rummaging through pictures from 4th of July's in previous years and thought I would share. Last year, Al and I trekked across half the country to pick up a boat. The girls stayed with my parents, so I have no pictures in their red, white and blues :(

I have no idea why this is so small. I had to cut and paste it from Walmart's photo site. I couldn't find these pictures saved on my computers. Perhaps it's the one that crashed??? This was 2 years ago. Lou 4, Poo 2

I made these hats for the girls the same year. They were fun...Lily loathed it, way worse than hate. Refused to wear, screaming kind of hate.

The last 2 were 3 years ago (2006). Lou 3, Poo 1

9 months

Lauryn has big beautiful brown eyes. My girls all have the same parents, I swear. Landree has green eyes, Lily blue, and Lauryn's brown. What's up with that?

Lauryn loves to walk around assisted. She going to be walking and running before we know it!

Sisters

Little stink loves to climb the stairs and she's really fast. I'll say, "Lauryn, No, no, come back down", she giggles and climbs faster. Sometimes I just let her go. I figure by the time she makes it all the way to the top she's wore out and ready for bed.

Al plopped her up in a windowsill. She's half laughing, half yelling at Al.

Birthday Girl

For Lil's birthday we went swimming at the YMCA and then had a barbeque.

So, do you think my girls confused on her age because the only candle I could find was 5??? Honestly, she didn't know the difference. She wants to be 5 so bad! I think she's in denial.

I'm 5!

"No Lily, you're 4"..."Mommy, am I 5"..."NO, Lily you are 4!!"

We started Lily's birthday with a party with all of her friends at her daycare. She had a blast.

You want a what???

Lou has been going to Paradise Community Center for track break. They have a large water slide that Lou has be dying to go down. Today was the day. Technically you have to be 48 inches tall, she's about 46 1/2. It's been a bummer but they let her go down it "like 12 times" today.

In the car I tossed my phone back to her and had her call Dad to tell him she got to slide, finally. At the end of the conversation she hung up the phone. This is where the story gets good. "Mommy I want a cell phone"
"excuse me, a what?"
"a cell phone. All of my friends have one".
"friends at Paradise?" (the kids at the center look older)
"No, my friends at Aggie-Roberts"
Who?"
"Sophia, Rayna, Molly, Sydney..."
I just laughed- Are you kidding me? My girl just turned 6 years old! She has 3 more weeks of kindergarten left. What exactly does a 6 year old need with a phone??? Wholey Moley- I'm in for it.

Do your children have cell phones or have they requested one? What is the right age now? I was hoping to hold off until at least high school!
