First Day of School 2012

The girls are back to school! Yea! They were excited to go back to see their friends. We were excited as well to get back into the routine. I forgot how much I hated the mornings before school. It becomes a little chaotic getting them all ready and out the door in time. LAURYN...started pre-school at Nate Mack. Her teacher is Ms. Deb Horne. Lauryn is in a unique classroom setting. She is a "typical" peer with "atypical" peers. Meaning she was chosen to be a role model in a small classroom with children with autism. She is doing very well and loves to go to school.
LILY...started 2nd grade! She started with Mrs. Musa but last week, due to budget cuts, she was transferred to Ms. Podhaisky's class. Ms. P. was our first choice on 2nd grade teachers so we were excited! I felt bad her first week with the sores on her lips. We went to the lake and Lily burnt her poor lips. She is doing very well in school. She is great in math and improving greatly in reading.
LANDREE...started 4th grade! Her teacher is Ms. Rosgay-Miller. So far 4th grade has been a little challenging for both of us! It's the first grade level that hasn't "held her hand". We've noticed how much more independent the students are and become. Her teacher loves Harry Potter so we have been trying to read a bit more Harry Potter and hopefully we'll see all the movies soon.
Lauryn ready to go. "Bye Mom and Dad" no tears in sight for either of us!
