Presenting....
Me. Landree's class is studying the human body. Her teacher is so impressive! Tomorrow they are going to have 4 hearts from different animals to feel. Next week they will have a cow eye and brain. So Cool! Mrs. Heimark asked me last week to present something about the spine. So this morning I went to Landree's class with my model spine and x-rays. I got so flustered! It is so much easier speaking to adults. Anyway, at the end of the discussion Mrs. Heimark opened it up for questions. They were all pretty normal except...Landree's. "So um, when you die, they take your spine and eyes, and give it to other people." I got so nervous with her even starting with "when you die". Anyway, I explained organ donation and spines are not involved. But seriously- who comes up with that kind of statement at 5?

What a fun class. Is it tuition based full-day kindergarten? Jackson's school is considering doing it next year. The other day during car pool I hear Jackson in the back of the car talking to his friends all about death. I had to then explain the conversation to the other mothers. Apparently their kids talk about it often also. Who knew?
