Last Doctor's Appointment
We scheduled inducing for Tuesday night at 7:30. I think what they do is just give you pitocin and let you start contracting overnight. So she will probably be here Wednesday morning. If any of you have been induced please let me know how it went. I heard the whole process is much worse than just going into labor naturally. Let's just pray that happens in the next couple days! I will keep you all updated. We have our laptop ready to take to the hospital to get pics out as soon as possible (as long as they are wireless- Are hospitals wireless nowadays?)

I have another friend that is also being induced Thursday evening at Southern Hills hospital. I was induced with Jackson and Sadie. Both were totally fine and didn't take any longer than my delivery with Megan. After they broke my water, I was ready to deliver within an hour. All of the people I know that have been induced and had problems (c-sections), have been induced early (2-3 weeks), and the baby just wasn't quite ready to come out. With Jackson they didn't give me the epidural until after they broke my water, so I was already fully dilated. I didn't make that same mistake with Sadie. I had them give me the epidural before breaking my water. It was much better. I am sure everything will go well. Sorry this is such a long comment.
When I went in to be induced with Laurel, they were planning to give me a pill (intravaginally) to ripen the cervix- misoprostol. I was having regular contractions at that point, so they ended up not giving it to me and just started pitocin at 3AM. It was a long night and hard to sleep with all the monitors. I recommend taking a sleeping pill. :) My sister had the same pill and everything went really well. I think every birth is so different it's hard to say how it will go. Hang in there! Try to get some rest. I still have 8 days to go, but sooner would be great! We will be thinking of you! Lesley
