School Update

Well so far so good with Kindergarten. It takes awhile to pry information out of Landree or just out of the blue she'll say something and a light bulb goes off in my head- "oh, that's what she's learning". On Monday she had music class and said she got to play the xylophone and she remembered the beat and sang a song about how xylophone was with x-ray. Why in the world was xylophone spelt with a X anyway? No wonder phonics are so hard! Yesterday I asked if she had gym she said, "No, we had E.P." I went "uhh, do you mean P.E." She said they walked, tip-toed, and jugged backwards. Again we said "do you mean jogged?". She also started singing a song after bath last night. Something about 5 monkeys hanging on a tree and getting eaten by alligators. Al said imagine the visual on that one! It's been fun- she has a bunch of homework to catch up on. The last couple nights she hasn't wanted to do any of it. We are so in trouble in a couple years!
