Halloween Dinner and Treats

Our neighbors, BJ and Liana, made an amazing chili and mummy dogs for the girls.

Nichole made the brain dip.

And spider crackles (I think that's what they're called) They are made with an Australian ingredient. Very tasty!

Halloween (Friday night activities)

Friday night we went to a Fall Festival at our church. The girls went through a haunted house without getting scared and also played in a bounce house.

My little black kitty,

an angel,

and a buzzing bee made the night complete!

Halloween Decor

This was a gift from my friend, Shauna. She used to work with Big Yellow Box by Crayola and this was an item they sell. It is meant to be drawn on and fired like real pottery. I love it white!

Al and I bought the metal tree/candle holder in Sedona 6 years ago. It has been sitting on our patio table forever. I brought it in after a coat of paint and added $1 skeleton strand.

I added a bag of black beans to the center candle. The frame in the back is matted with black and white polka dot paper with a pumpkin in the center.

I bought these paper mache pumpkins at Michael's for .99 cents the girls painted them orange and I added the brown paint and ribbon.

I bought these frames at the dollar store and spray painted them black. Then strung them together with ribbon added scrapbooking paper as a matte and the letters.

The fall tree is made with the girls' hand prints as branches and leaves and fingerprints as leaves on the ground.

Our house is very festive and comfortable and I love it! I'm already dreaming up my Christmas decorations. In 28 short days I will be putting them up! For now I will enjoy the oranges, reds, browns and blacks.

Happy Halloween to all! I can't wait to show you the girls' costumes. They are semi-homemade!!

Game Time

We went to a local Manhattan bar to watch the first half of the game.

Showing off my purple can of Bud Light.

Funky, Funk Bus

We are huge Kansas State fans. We went to Manhattan on September 11th for a couple days. We got to ride on the Funk Bus. The game that Saturday was out of town but we drove to the stadium and had a little fun. Al and I really want to try to make it back for a home game so we can really experience the Funk Bus for tailgating.

Thanks Ronna and Galen for the ride and everything! We love you guys!

Whiskey, Margarita, and Tequila Rose

You thought this post was about alcohol, right? WRONG! Our friends, Ronna and Galen, have 3 miniature donkeys. Their names are Whiskey, Margarita and Tequila Rose. They are really cute for being jack-asses.
