Train at Gage Park
So, if you are ever in Topeka, Kansas with kids. Hit the train at Gage Park. Heck, hit everything at Gage Park! This park is truly a-ma-zing! Along, with the train, there is a carousel, zoo, rose garden, and large playground for the kids. I kind of hollered at Al for not taking me to the park before. Yep, been married to the guy for 9 years and never been to this particular park. I'm looking forward to returning so we can spend more time there. I didn't have a chance to really walk around and take it all in. Honestly, I saw most of it from the train ride. Bummer!

Lawrence...Home of PU-KU
We went to Lawrence, Kansas to meet the Moody's for dinner. We arrived a bit early so we walked in downtown Lawrence. It is such a neat town. I miss the whole small town downtown's. The antique and specialty stores and old buildings. It's too bad it's home to KU, Al's major rival. We went into a large Lids store. It was half full of Jayhawk hats. Landree said really loud, "Daddy, I found a K-State hat!" The man running the store looked at me and said, "What? K-State?". We did find a very cute Cardinal's hat for Lily.

I'm Luvin the big bows in Lauryn's hair.

This was outside a cute toy store. The bear is blowing bubbles.

Kansas City
Yep, I'm still posting vacation pictures! Sorry! I'm doing this as a sort of journal so I don't forget events when I scrapbook. We went to Kansas City for a day during our vacation. We first stopped at Cabela's.
Lily and the Gigantic Fish

Lauryn checking out the animals. All the animals in Cabela's are real. Well, not "real" just not alive and stuffed (except the fish).

Lily practicing her shot

We spent the evening with our good friends, Scott and Julie. They made a great mexican dinner and the kids played outside. It was a bit rainy but the girls had fun. The flowers beside their house were beautiful.

I have no idea what she's checking out. I love how she's crouched down.

Emma, Landree and Olivia

Today is Lauryn's first birthday. I will post pictures later. I can't believe my babies 1!! The year has gone so fast. I'm not ready to let go of my infant. She's becoming such a little toddler running around. I wish she could stay little forever but I'm excited to see her learn and grow.

Photography
Silly girl. She almost looks like a sad Charlie Chaplin.

This is the church Al and I were married in. I took a few unique shots and changed this one to black and white. I'm going to try to play with Photoshop on some of the photos and enlarging some to frame. The church is where Al grew up, we were married and all the girls have been baptized.

The capital building is across the street from the church. The black and white shows so much detail.

Grandma's House
The girls did pretty well staying at Grandma's house. They were very interested in her basement. I think because they have actually never really seen one! There are very few houses in Vegas that have basements.
Lauryn insisted on climbing up on this shelf cabinet in the kitchen and got so frustrated when she couldn't get down. I would help her down and then she would climb right back up. Stinker!

Topeka Zoo
After lunch at Cheeburger, Cheeburger we headed to THE Topeka Zoo.
Lily and Logan- They are so cute!

Watching the giraffes

The crew on an ape

Jason and Jessi

Some fun animals we found at the zoo!

The most unusual thing I have ever seen at a zoo. A big (huge!) bat!

More fun animals we found at the zoo...

Lauryn was exhausted from the busy morning and finally slept a bit in the stroller!
