Candy Table

Lauryn checking out the candy buffet.

We put these boxes together for the kids to fill with yummies!

The table...

I made sure the kids all took a toothbrush home to brush the sugar bugs away.

Yummy candy!

Orange and Pink Decor

I have seen many blog posts on orange and pink decorations for birthday parties, I knew that was the "theme" I wanted to use for Lauryn's birthday.

I made Martha Stewarts tissue pom-poms for our backdrop behind the drinks.

Cheetos played a major roll on all of the guest tables. Not only does Lauryn love them, they match the scheme perfectly!

Birthday Girl

Our youngest turned 2 a couple months ago. Yep, I'm way behind on blogging!
Lo is our nickname for her. She really is a absolute delight. The party was amazing and I can't wait to blog about it. But it's going to take a bunch of posts!

A little about our 2 year old...
Lo loves to play on her own. I think that's because she has 2 sisters that continually pester her. Her favorite toys are babies, puzzles, and legos. She loves Dora but doesn't really sit long enough to watch anything. Her favorite DVD to watch is Baby Songs. Lo counts to 10 and beyond and knows all her ABC's. She is very stubborn on using the potty. Although I think she would really perfer to go poopy in the potty she just forgets to tell us she needs to go. Lo is an awesome sleeper. She shares a room with Lily now and sleeps in the bottom bunk. She sleeps at least 11 hours a night and naps between 2 and 3 hours a day. Lo loves her snacks and juice. She really doesn't have a favorite food but is not a fan of vegetables. She is very polite and says consistently please and thank-you. In some ways she is shy and others very independent and social. Which is a good mix of the other 2.

At 2 years old she is so much fun!

Mickey's Magic Show

One of my patients gave me 4 tickets to Disney's Magic Show that came through town. It was actually a great show. They had a couple magicians along with the Disney characters. The girls had fun (including Ginny and I)!

School Open House

Lily and her teacher Mrs. Delzeit. She is actually Lillian in class. There's another Lily. She doesn't mind at all. It's been hard for me to get use to everyone calling her Lillian.

Landree listening to books in Lil's room.

We were taking around the different "stations" they have in their room. I think most of it is part of their daily activity.

At the time I didn't take any pictures of Landree in her classroom because I didn't want to embarrass her. Now I regret it...

Shakespeare in the Park

Al's mom, Ginny, came out for Lauryn's birthday party. She also stayed a little over a week to help me out. Al worked the Renaissance Fair for the county which required him to work 16 hour days and the girls were out of school. She helped a ton during the week. Laundry was done everyday and she entertained the girls. It was really wonderful! The Saturday before she left we went to have a "girls" night. We went to Lake Las Vegas and watched Macbeth and then went to Cheesecake Factory for dessert and coffee. It was a fantastic evening! The play was wonderful! I am so glad we got to spend the extra time together without the interference of Al or the girls.

This is Lady Macbeth with the witches.

Macbeth with the witches.

This lady is a customer of my mom's. We see her almost everyday so it was neat seeing her in character.

Car Show in Henderson

Our neighbor, Nick, entered his first car show so we ventured down to old Henderson to check it out. I grew up going to these so I thought the girls would get a kick out of seeing the old cars. It was stinkin hot that day, so a bit miserable.

Lauryn enjoyed riding in the wagon.

The girls were attracted to anything purple or pink. They found this bright purple car.

And a Hello Kitty truck with a surfboard.

Al checked out this pink jeep to see what he could do with his. I'm not so sure pink is his color though.

You can't have a car show without Tow Mater!

And finally Nick's car. We have watched this thing go from crap to pretty fantastic looking. It has purple ghost flames on the front that are really difficult to see but add a ton to the overall appearance.
