This picture is hilarious. Landree took Lauryn down a steeper slide. I love the look on her face. She still thought it was fun.

Lily and her friends were chasing each other around the playground and racing down the slide. I was just shooting pictures and Lily whipped down the slide this way.

Lily and Becca

Skylar, Lily, and Becca
Lily went to Michelle's daycare since she was 18 months with these 2 girls. Becca started kindergarten this year and Lily is now in preschool. They still love seeing each other. They were always so cute together- all blonds!

Egg Hunting

Lauryn's daycare provider, Michelle, always has a huge Easter egg hunt. We have gone every year for the past 4 years. She spoils the kids rotten.

Easter Morn

I did a late run to Michael's on Saturday night. I almost bought regular Easter buckets and then saw these photo storage boxes for $1.66. I am reorganizing my linen closet and thought these would be perfect. So after Easter they are all mine! Better than spending money on more baskets/buckets.

I asked Lily what she wanted from the Easter bunny and she said a stuffed dog. I think she already has at least 8. Oh well, my girl loves animals. The 8 we have look like they have been through the ringer. She tends to take them everywhere.

Of course it wouldn't be Easter without a zillion hunts. This was the bunny's droppings at our house.

Lauryn even found a few.

Lily found some as well.

Easter Activities Take 1

On Saturday we attempted an Easter activity that Clark County sponsored. I say we attempted because we saw the lines for the rides and candy and said forget it! The girls played on the playground for a bit and then we headed down to the District. I LOVE the District. It is an outdoor shopping area close to Green Valley Station. The shops there are all of my favs like, Anthropology, Downeast Basics, Janie and Jack, Pottery Barn, and that's just a few. We had lunch at Al's Garage. We were able to sit outside the girls were able to run around. It was really nice and actually relaxing. We then headed to the Carousel there as well. The girls had a blast. It was Lauryn's first official ride on anything. I put her up on the horse and she resisted majorly! She was pulling my hair trying to get off and crying. I made her stay up there and as soon as the ride started she was laughing, smiling, and waving at the passersby.

Out of the 200+ photos of the weekend. This is my absolute favorite!

Egg Dying

Daddy got in on the fun.

The best concentration comes with the tongue stuck out.

The finished product.

You've Been Egged

We were up to our same shananigans this year. We picked a family out that we wanted to "egg". Our friends have 3 kids around the same age as our girls. The oldest is in school with Landree. They were leaving for Disneyland today so were missing a lot of the traditional Easter activities like egg dying and hunts. Lily and I stopped by their house yesterday and egged them. We posted this sign on their door and hid filled eggs all over their front yard. Nichole, the mom, told me all about it not knowing who did it. She finally figured it out and I confessed. She said the kids were ecstatic. They thought the Easter bunny had dropped by the house already. She said they were running around screaming with joy. That makes me happy!

Easter Goodies

I was busy baking/making Thursday night so Al and the girls could take special treats with them on Friday.

I made these for Al's work. He saw the recipe on the back of the speckled egg M & M package so I tried them. He said they were good. I thought the little nests turned out cute.

I made these for Lily's classmates and Lauryn's little friends at daycare. I just downloaded the saying from here and then tapped them to a snack bag filled with a row of peeps. So easy and so cute.

I'm also finishing up special Easter treats for our neighbors. I'll try to post them later today.
