Springs Preserve

Landree is on spring break this week. We went to the Springs Preserve. Check it out! The girls enjoyed playing in their children's park. They had sand boxes, climbing rocks, a train, and water feature. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch and walking through the gardens. The last time we were at the Preserve was in December, remember this. I am looking forward to returning and touring the museums. We went for ice cream on the way home. I told Lily to tell Daddy what we did all day all she could say was we went to get ice cream, obviously her favorite part!

Hockey

Our friends/neighbors, BJ and Liana, had box tickets to the Wranglers game Saturday night. It was fun, fun! The box tickets were for the Wranglers box. A gentleman from the Wranglers was kind enough to supply us a bottle of Patron. He said it was left over from when Rick(y) Schroder (Silver Spoons) had the box. Well we enjoyed it and a few beers! We later went to an irish pub across the street. It was nice to be able to relax with friends.

ahhh...chu...

This is what Landree made in art last week. It's her sneezing. I LOVE IT! In her hand she glued a tissue. I asked her why she put a bunch of lines on her eyes, she said because that's what your eyes do when you sneeze.

BTW, that pink balloon in the picture from the previous post is a sword.

Sick Minds Think Alike?

Landree had a birthday party Saturday for a school mate. We were all invited to the Spiderman party. It actually was a lot of fun. We walked around to the side gate to get into the backyard and they had a keg on tap. Oh yah! Spiderman was interesting...

Lauryn's BFF

The boys and their babies! Addison is 2 months younger than Lauryn. The girls will be BFF's before too long! Look how big Lauryn's head is compared to Addison's. Amazing...

My New Best Friend

Before

After

So, my new best friend is SPRAY PAINT! I bought these birdies from the dollar store. Al was horrified when I said I was going to spray paint them. He said, "but they are a blah, blah (I don't remember the exact name) bird,". Who cares what birds they are? They were cheap looking. So, spray paint and I went to town. I'm not crazy about the ribbon so that might change but I do think they turned out pretty cute. I have many, many more spray painting projects in the works. Now if the wind would just die down I could get busy!

April Fools

I packed Landree's lunch today for school. I followed some ideas found on Family Fun. I put carrots in her bag of cheetos and resealed the bag as well as a worm in her apple. I hope she has fun with it. I also put in a little note. I wish I had the time tonight to make the faux Chicken Pot Pie and cupcakes. Maybe next year
